Aurora Expeditions

Aurora Expeditions is an Australian-founded expedition cruise line established in 1991 by mountaineer Greg Mortimer and adventure travel pioneer Margaret Werner. The company pioneered small-ship expedition travel to Antarctica for Australian guests and has since expanded to cover the Arctic, Patagonia, the Amazon, and remote global destinations. The fleet features purpose-built Ulstein X-BOW vessels renowned for their stability in rough seas. Aurora Expeditions is part-owned by Altor Equity Partners following a 2022 investment.
