Celebrity Apex
Celebrity Apex is the second vessel in Celebrity Cruises' Edge class of ships, constructed at Chantiers de l'Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, France. Like her sister ship Celebrity Edge, she features innovative design elements including the "Magic Carpet," a cantilevered platform that moves vertically along the starboard side to facilitate tender service and create additional guest space, as well as "infinite veranda" balcony staterooms, a three-deck dining and performance venue called "Eden," and a parabolic ultrabow designed to maximize fuel efficiency. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, her debut sailing departed from Athens to the Greek Islands.
Celebrity Apex measures 306 metres in length with a beam of 39 metres, spans 15 decks, and has a gross tonnage of 129,500. The ship accommodates 2,918 passengers on a lower berth basis across 1,467 cabins, supported by a crew of 1,320. She is powered by Wartsila engines and operates at a service speed of 22 knots.
