Celebrity Eclipse

Celebrity Eclipse is a Solstice-class cruise ship built by Meyer Werft in Germany and delivered to Celebrity Cruises in 2010 as the third vessel in its class, following sister ships Celebrity Solstice and Celebrity Equinox. The ship gained notable attention shortly after entering service when it was deployed as an act of goodwill to return stranded British tourists from Spain following the shutdown of UK airspace due to the Eyjafjallajökull volcanic eruption. The vessel was designed with energy-saving features including photovoltaic systems, optimized hull design, efficient hull coatings, and LED lighting systems.
