Celestyal Journey is a Statendam-class cruise ship built by Fincantieri that began service with Holland America Line as Ryndam in 1994. The vessel experienced multiple notable incidents during her operational history, including three norovirus outbreaks in 2007, an incident involving an intoxicated passenger releasing the ship's stern anchor in 2010, and a murder-suicide in a passenger cabin in 2015.
