Zaandam

MS Zaandam is a Holland America Line cruise ship built by Fincantieri in Italy and delivered in 2000, part of the Rotterdam-class and sister ship to several other vessels. The ship features a distinctive musical theme with onboard artifacts including a Baroque-style Dutch pipe organ and guitars signed by prominent musicians such as the Rolling Stones, Carlos Santana, and Queen, as well as a saxophone signed by former U.S. President Bill Clinton. Zaandam gained international attention when it was denied access to the Panama Canal and Fort Lauderdale during a COVID-19 outbreak, resulting in four deaths among passengers and crew.
