MSC Bellissima

MSC Bellissima was constructed at Chantiers de l'Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, France, and joined the Meraviglia class of cruise ships operated by MSC Cruises. The ship's christening ceremony at Southampton was presided over by actress Sophia Loren, though high winds forced organizers to relocate from the original quayside marquee to an improvised ceremony where Loren pressed a button on the ship's bridge to break the christening bottle. Andrea Bocelli and his son performed during the christening celebration.
