Vasco da Gama
Built by Fincantieri and completed in 1993, this S-class cruise ship originally served Holland America Line as MS Statendam, becoming the first Holland America Line ship to sail a European itinerary in over twenty years during her inaugural season. She was subsequently renamed Pacific Eden for P&O Cruises Australia, and later Vasco da Gama for Cruise & Maritime Voyages before being acquired by Mystic Invest in 2020 following a public auction.
Vasco da Gama measures 219 metres in length with a beam of 31 metres and a gross registered tonnage of 55,877. The ship has 13 decks and 630 cabins, accommodating up to 1,260 passengers on lower berths, supported by a crew of 588. Propulsion is provided by Wartsila-Sulzer engines, giving the vessel a service speed of 21 knots.
