Norwegian Breakaway is the first ship in Norwegian Cruise Line's Project Breakaway, with her name selected through a public contest. The ship was christened by The Rockettes and became the largest cruise ship homeported year-round in New York City, offering seven-night cruises to Bermuda and the Caribbean. Notable onboard features include a restaurant by Geoffrey Zakarian, a Second City comedy club, and hull art designed by Peter Max.
