Iona
MS Iona is an Excellence-class cruise ship built by Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany, and operated by P&O Cruises as a subsidiary of Carnival Corporation & plc. Upon delivery, she became the largest cruise ship commissioned for P&O and the British market, featuring distinctive design elements including SkyDome, an entertainment venue topped by a 105-ton glass dome with a retractable stage, along with 17 different eateries and 12 bars. Powered by liquefied natural gas, Iona was the first LNG-powered ship dedicated for the British market, designed to eliminate sulphur dioxide emissions and soot particles.
