Quantum of the Seas is the lead ship of the Quantum class and was the third largest cruise ship in the world at her delivery by Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany. Operated by Royal Caribbean International, the ship has served cruise markets in Alaska and Australia, and began servicing Mexican routes from Los Angeles. The vessel was originally code-named "Project Sunshine" when Royal Caribbean announced the order, and features dual 20.5-megawatt ABB Azipod XO propulsion units.
