Silver Nova

Silver Nova is the first ship in Silversea Cruises' Evolution-class and the first hybrid luxury cruise ship, powered by a combination of liquefied natural gas, fuel cells, and batteries to enable emissions-free operation in port. Built at Meyer Werft in Germany, the ship features a unique asymmetrical design created by Wilson Butler Architects and GEM that offsets the engine casing to provide wider ocean views. Silver Nova achieves a 40% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and is projected to exceed International Maritime Organization energy efficiency requirements by approximately 25%.
