Azamara Pursuit
Built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique in St. Nazaire, France, Azamara Pursuit entered service originally as R Eight for Renaissance Cruises before being seized and laid up following the company's bankruptcy. The vessel subsequently operated under multiple identities—Minerva II for Swan Hellenic, Royal Princess for Princess Cruises (during which she experienced a major engine room fire), and Adonia for P&O Cruises and the social impact travel brand Fathom. Azamara acquired the ship and relaunched it as Azamara Pursuit following an extensive refit, joining its fleet of sister ships and vessels operated by Oceania Cruises.
Azamara Pursuit has a gross tonnage of 30,277 and accommodates 704 passengers on a lower berth basis across 352 cabins. The ship measures 181 metres in length with a beam of 25 metres and features 11 decks. It is powered by Wartsila engines and operates at a service speed of 18 knots, supported by a crew of 400.
