Harmony of the Seas is an Oasis-class cruise ship built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, France, for Royal Caribbean International. The ship is named after the Harmony module on the International Space Station and was christened by Miami-Dade County teacher Brittany Affolter. During her preview cruises in Southampton, passengers reported ongoing construction issues including lack of hot water and unopened attractions, though these problems were resolved by the maiden voyage departure from Southampton to Barcelona.
The ship measures 362 metres in length with a beam of 47 metres and a gross tonnage of 226,963. She accommodates 5,707 passengers on a lower-berth basis across 2,850 cabins on 17 decks, supported by a crew of 2,394. Propulsion is provided by Wartsila engines, giving a service speed of 22 knots.
