Costa Fascinosa

Costa Fascinosa is a cruise ship built by Fincantieri at the Marghera shipyard for Costa Crociere and entered service as part of the Concordia class. The ship's name was selected through an international contest involving travel agents from over 40 countries, who chose "Fascinosa" from more than 16,000 proposed name pairs for two sister ships. The vessel distinguishes itself from other Concordia-class ships by lacking a stern superstructure and featuring a dedicated water park for children in its central area, while its "Il Gattopardo" restaurant draws inspiration from the Palazzo Valguarnera-Gangi in Palermo, which inspired director Luchino Visconti's famous film of the same name.
