Viking Sun
Viking Sun was built by Fincantieri as the fourth ship in a series of 930-passenger vessels for Viking Ocean Cruises. The ship was delivered in 2017 and later transferred to China Merchants Viking Cruises, a joint venture between Viking Ocean Cruises and China Merchants Group, where it was renamed Zhao Shang Yi Dun and registered in China.
Viking Sun measures 228 metres in length with a beam of 29 metres and a gross tonnage of 47,842. The ship accommodates 928 passengers on a lower berth basis across 464 cabins on 10 decks, supported by a crew of 465. It operates with MAN B engines at a service speed of 20 knots.
