Windstar Cruises

Windstar Cruises is a boutique cruise line founded in 1984 and headquartered in Seattle, operated by Xanterra Travel Collection. The line operates six ships: three sail-assisted yacht-style ships - Wind Surf, Wind Spirit, and Wind Star - and three motor yacht-style vessels - Star Breeze, Star Legend, and Star Pride. A seventh ship, Star Seeker, was delivered in December 2025 as the largest in the fleet. Windstar is known for its intimate scale, ability to dock in smaller ports, and the romance of sailing under canvas on the sailing ships. The line sails to the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Pacific, and beyond.
